90 State Street Wedding | July 9, 2016

Our wedding Saturday was really sweet. Lauren & Chris wed on a rainy Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in downtown Albany. Their 90 State Street Wedding reception was beautiful and romantic with stunning florals, and the hum of really tight knit family. Lauren’s dress was absolutely stunning and she looked perfect. The couple got ready at the Renaissance Albany Hotel with a view of the Capitol. It poured on Saturday, not drizzled, but buckets of rain, and the skies cleared up long enough for a first look in Academy Park.

The wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s was peppered with some absolutely incredible music. The bride’s sister Courtney sang, Carry by Ryan Montbleau, and she sang it really well (better than the original even). I’ve been a fan of Courtney’s since I first heard her sing! This wedding was special to me because the bride was one of my little sister’s childhood best friends. I remember when this Maid of Honor was born! Also present was Chelsea Gentner who sings like an operatic angel. The music at the ceremony was breathtaking.

This reception was a little like Old Home Week for me (as my mother would say) with DJ Adam Conway who, not kidding, used to DJ our high school dances when he was just starting out!! Photographer DiAnna Marr (pronounced Diana), a former music student of the Mother of the Bride, flew in from Denver to shoot this wedding! Also present was a favorite English teacher, a former principal, and some old friends’ parents. Watching Lauren and Chris together was even more meaningful, having known this bride for so long. Chris is a tall, handsome, doting Groom, now husband, with a visible passion for his bride. The groomsmen, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and friends enveloped this couple in love. What a beautiful day!
