West Point Wedding in the Cadet Chapel? Um, YES please!
Men in uniform, a stunningly beautiful bride with a gorgeous dress, and perfect weather, yes yes yes!!
West Point Awesomeness
I was so excited to be asked to film this West Point Wedding. It was so thrilling to meet Melissa and Micah. These two are truly crazy for each other. Their love was evident in the choices they made throughout the day.
Vibrance
The colors of the uniforms were vivid. The colors of the season were vibrant. The view on the water, incredible. And then there was the stained glass. The stained glass in the chapel – stunning. The enormous pipe organ –perfect. What an idyllic setting for this love story.
Grandeur
The grandeur of the space was well matched by Melissa’s incredibly beautiful wedding gown. It takes a special dress to command a chapel aisle like this one. Walking into the space it was amazing to me how all the pews were so perfectly aligned, along with all the hymnals and objects within each row. This place is a type A’s dream! (eh hem, like me!!)
Thomas Jefferson
These two love birds had a thing for TJ, so this blog post would not be complete without a few quotes. So here ya go:
“I cannot live without books.” (yup! me either TJ!)
“Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”
“The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.”
“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it” –Thomas Jefferson
Brains at Work!
This bride was also working to finish up a PhD dissertation! That is a lot when you are also planning a wedding! We wish you a ton of success with your studies, and your work, and your travels, and your marriage! May you have many tender and cerebral years together in a joyful and nourishing marriage. XOXO
