Vintage Vow Renewal at M&D Farm | December 2016

Vintage Vow Renewal

Love does ebb and flow, anyone who has been married can tell you that. What makes love constant is coming back to it over and over, in happy times and in miserable times. Commitment is what holds us together when we feel like falling apart. What better way to observe our constant commitment to our partners that through this  vintage vow renewal ceremony.

Some couples do this every year, some every decade, and some might only do it once on a special anniversary. Renewing ones vows or not, simply making the promise every day to do those things you said you would do, is challenging. The act of staying true to one person for a lifetime is what turns simple romance into a lifetime’s devotion. If you have read anything else on my website you know how obsessed I am with this type of devotion. It is not just the magic of finding the right person, or the discipline of being the right kind of partner, it is also grit, hard work, loyalty, circumstance, and a little bit of luck. In our world, it is pretty rare and at the same time, more abundant than you think.

Quiet Moments

It was very special to spend the afternoon with Erin and Matt as they reflected on their love for each other and their commitment to their marriage. These private moments give me so much to think about in my own life and marriage, in addition to being beautiful happy days.

We wish Erin & Matt continued happiness, a lifetime of blessings and health, and many more years of devotion to each other. XOXO
